Your A/C is running ... away
4 p.m. — First Block of Beechwood Lane. Larceny. A woman told deputies she and her husband were doing lawn work for a neighbor when they noticed that the air-conditioning unit was missing. The woman immediately contacted the owner of the house to let her know. After finally speaking with her, she was unable to give any identifying characteristics on the unit. The three-ton air conditioning unit was taken from the left side of her home in its entirety.
The woman does not know who would have done this to her home, and the bank is in the process of foreclosing on the property. There are no suspects at this time.
March 20
Rainy day
5:30 p.m. — First Block of Waterford Place. Larceny. A woman told police that she was having home repair work done by a contractor, and some of the rear rain gutters had to be removed to complete the work.
She stated that the rain gutters were replaced on the ground toward the rear of the residence. She left her residence around 5 p.m., and when she returned, the gutters were missing.
She contacted the contractor, and he advised that he did not remove the rain gutters. The rain gutter is white and approximately 15 feet long. There are no suspects at this time.
March 21
Taken
1:30 p.m. — First Block of Utility Drive. Stolen Vehicle. A man advised deputies that his trailer had been stolen. He said he last saw the trailer 1:30 p.m., March 19. The trailer is 6-by-12 feet and has a small gash on its front. Inside of the trailer were forklift extension arms valued at approximately $400. The trailer itself is valued at approximately $2,500. The victim does not know who could have removed the trailer, and there is no further information at this time.
March 22
No ‘ID’-a
6:05 a.m. — 7000 Block of County Road 304. Traffic Stop. A deputy conducted a traffic stop, and the driver could not produce a valid driver’s license. He told the deputy he did not have a driver’s license and produced a Mexican Identification Card.
The man was subsequently secured in handcuffs and was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility without incident. He was issued a uniform traffic citation and a written warning in reference to an expired tag.
$99 of unpaid merchandise
6:42 p.m. — 5000 Block of East State Road 100. Larceny Shoplifting. A deputy was called out to a drug store in reference to a larceny in progress. A corporal already had the woman in custody for retail theft. While on scene, the deputy made contact with the store manager, who advised that she observed the woman attempting to exit the store without paying for items.
The manager asked if she could speak to the woman in the back of the store. When she did, the woman emptied her purse, containing $99 worth of unpaid merchandise.
She completed a written statement of the incident, as did another employee. The woman was issued a notice to appear for retail theft and was also trespassed from the store.
March 23
No contraband … aside from one gram
1:30 a.m. — Florida Park Drive and Palm Coast Parkway Northeast. Narcotics. During a traffic stop of a 1995 Buick, the deputy asked the driver of the vehicle if there was any illegal contraband in the vehicle. The 19-year-old driver said, “No,” and gave the deputy permission to search the vehicle. The deputy asked the passenger to step out of the vehicle for a weapons pat down. As he did, a cigar fell out of his loose jeans.
The deputy asked to see the cigar pack and found a dollar bill rolled up inside. The bill contained 1 gram of marijuana.
The young man had a suspended driver’s license and was transported to the Flagler County Jail. The cannabis, cigar wraps and dollar bill were placed into evidence.
The driver was also issued a written warning for a headlight violation.
