Battery. A 75-year-old golfer got upset over the amount of golfers on a golf course on Thursday morning and ended up pushing over an employee.

The incident occurred on May 14, but the employee did not report the incident until the next day, according to the suspect’s arrest report. The 78-year-old employee told a Sheriff’s Office deputy that the suspect was angry there were five golfers ahead of him for one tee time.

After completing the first nine holes of the course, the suspect drove back to the clubhouse and began complaining to a different employee. Then another entered and the suspect walked up to him and started swearing at the other golfer, before leaving to grab his clubs out of his golf cart.

As the suspect walked past the employee’s podium outside the clubhouse, the suspect screamed at the employee and then shoved him in the chest, nearly pushing the employee over.

The suspect left the golf course and while the employee did not have any visible injuries, he said his back had been hurting him since the incident.

When deputies arrested the suspect at his home, the man admitted to losing his temper and pushing the employee “because he was angry at him,” the report said.

Petit theft. A Palm Coast man was arrested after he admitted to Sheriff’s Office deputies that he stole a bicycle to go buy drugs.

The bicycle owner told a deputy his bicycle was stolen the night before while he was working at a bar. The bike was outside the back door and surveillance cameras caught the thief taking the bike around 9:50 p.m., according to an arrest report.

The next day, a different deputy was sent surveillance footage from a neighboring restaurant that had previously trespassed the suspect. That restaurant management was able to identify the suspect from their camera footage, which showed the suspect hiding in the bushes and then taking the bicycle.

The suspect was later found riding the bicycle on Palm Coast Parkway and arrested. He admitted to stealing the bicycle and riding it into Bunnell to buy drugs.
