Retail theft. A Palm Coast man was arrested after deputies say he stole more than $4,100 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s during a series of shoplifting incidents in May.
Deputies responded to the Palm Coast store after the asset protection team reported several delayed theft cases involving a possible suspect. Working with store employees and reviewing surveillance footage, deputies identified the suspect as the man allegedly responsible for three separate thefts.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, surveillance video showed the man leaving the store on multiple occasions with merchandise without attempting to pay. The stolen items reportedly included three lawnmowers, a carpet, three rugs and other merchandise valued at more than $4,100.
Deputies later located the suspect at his Palm Coast residence and arrested him on a charge of retail theft of $750 or more. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and later released on a $10,000 bond.
