Neighbor wars
8:31 a.m. — First block of Shady Lane South, Palm Coast
Disturbing the peace. A Palm Coast man was arrested after he spent his Friday morning breaking his neighbor’s fence and threatening his neighbor.
Sheriff’s Office deputies came out to the neighborhood after the victim called 911, saying his neighbor was trying to break his fence and threatening him. When deputies arrived, the suspect was still standing in his yard screaming profanities at his neighbor, according to the suspect’s arrest report.
The victim told deputies he had ongoing issues with the suspect. That day, the victim said he got up early to water his plants because the neighbor’s dog was barking nonstop early that morning, which caused the argument.
The suspect caused around $100 in damage to the victim’s fence, the arrest report said. Though the victim declined to press charges out of fear of retaliation, the deputies arrested the man for disturbing the peace.
Suspicious cargo
6:01 p.m. — 100 block of Cypress Point Parkway, Palm Coast
Dug paraphernalia possession. Four Palm Coast adults were arrested on drug possession charges after attempting to run and hide from a traffic stop.
The stop began when Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled over a box truck for running a red light in Palm Coast. The box truck pulled over into a nearby parking lot and two people in the cab immediately tried to leave out of the passenger side door, according to their arrest reports.
The two suspects, a man and a woman, were stopped and detained while a K9 unit sniffed the exterior of the truck. When the dog smelled narcotics, deputies searched the cab and suspects and found a straw with fentanyl residue and, in the woman’s bra, a hollowed-out pen with meth residue, the reports said.
When deputies went to search the cargo area, they found two more people. The two additional suspects said they had tried to knock on the doors, but the deputies did not hear any such noise.
In the cargo area, the deputies found multiple burnt pieces of tin foil, cut straws with residue and clear plastic baggies with drug residue. One piece of foil had less than a gram of meth rolled inside it.
All four suspects were placed under arrest and taken to the county jail.
