Coastal crafting with sea glass

When: 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreational Area, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Using sea glass, recycled corks and mixed media techniques, participants will design a seaside-inspired artwork to take home. Materials provided. Bring your own sea glass and cork (cut in half) for personalization. There's a $5 material fee in cash. Park entry fee applies. Space limited to 10. Children welcome with an adult. Third Thursday Docent Tour

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: Take a tour of the reception gallery, the stairway gallery and a walk through the gardens and historic Emmons Cottage. The tour concludes with tea on the rooftop terrace. Free for museum members and U.S. veterans; included with museum admission for all others. Meet inside the reception gallery by 11 a.m. 

Foods That Built America — Ice Cream

Florida Vista Book Club

Details: The book club is hosting local author Jeff Boyle. Public is invited. Admission is free for Halifax Historical Museum members and $10 for non-members.

Civilian traffic control training

Where: Flagler County Emergency Operations Center, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell

Details: Flagler County Emergency Management and Flagler Volunteer Services invite residents who are interested in learning how to support our community during emergencies or disasters, to participate in our Disaster Volunteer Training Series. This program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to help with traffic management during special events and emergencies.

Beats and Eats

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: The Stage at Town Center,1500 Central Ave. Palm Coast

Details: Beats and Eats is a new monthly community event that combines the familiar Food Truck Tuesday experience with live concert entertainment from the Palm Coast Concert Series. The band is Soul Fire and the beneficiary will be the Hispanic American Cultural Association. 

Ormond Beach Area Democratic Club meeting

Gopher Tortoise: Superhero of the Scrub

Details: Discover the world of the gopher tortoise. After the talk, stick around for an optional stroll through the park to spot active burrows. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Florida Heat, Cool Water Family Paddle

When: 5-7 p.m.

Details: Learn about the estuary and marine life during this paddle program, which includes a kayak, paddles and personal flotation devices. Ocean to Estuary guided nature walk and citizen science

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: River to Sea Preserve, 9805 N. Ocean Shore Blvd, Marineland

God's Family Bible Church Pantry food distribution

Details: God's Family Bible Church distributes food every first and third Saturday in this drive-thru event.

Personal Property Appraisals and Insurance

Details: Roger Ponn, founder of Roger Ponn Associated Appraisers, will explain what a personal property appraisal is, how it helps insurance and why an appraisal is important after hurricanes and other natural disasters.  Free program.

SuperSaxx and Jazz Forte

Water Safety for Children

'From Seed to Soul' exhibition opening
