Timothy Dwane Smith

Timothy Dwane Smith 56 of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away Sunday morning September 26, 2021, surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a 15-year resident of Ormond Beach, Florida where he lived with his wife and two younger children. Timothy was born in Detroit, MI August 12. 1965 to Terry Lee Smith and Ava Deloris Ashley. He grew up in Greenfield, Ohio until age 11 when his father relocated them to Groton, Connecticut. Timothy graduated from Ledyard High School on June 15, 1983. He then went on to join the Marines in 1984. His first marriage to Denise J. Bacchiocchi produced the older two children. Timothy remarried to Cindy Fifer on February 14, 2006, in Saint Augustine, Florida. The family then moved to the Daytona Beach where he worked as a Poker Dealer at the Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room. Timothy was a family man which included being a stable husband, loving father, respectable son, a much-loved brother, great uncle, adored nephew, lively cousin, and a cherished friend. He is survived by a grieving but congenial family Parents Terry Lee Smith and Ava Deloris Ashley, Wife of Fifteen years Cindy Lou Smith, Four children Ian Dwane Smith (Bacchiocchi), Nostasia Rain Smith (Bacchiocchi), Anthony James Smith, Olivia Elizabeth Grace Smith, half-brother Jack Urbanski, half-sister Kimberly Hayes, stepsister Sherry Cutler and her husband Brian Cutler, stepsister Susan Clevenshire, stepbrother Kenneth Taylor and his wife Christina, and stepbrother Keith Taylor, Aunts Susan Demaris and Cindy Mosier, In addition to several cousins, nephews, nieces, a great nephew and great nieces. And his lifelong friend Andrew Higgins. Preceded in death by beloved stepmother Sharon (Hayes) Smith, Paternal grandparents Ogie E. Howland and Dorothy W. (Cohmer) Lake, Maternal grandparents Harry Jack Ashley and Kowanda K. Webb.
