Ronald F Cacciolfi passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2026 at his home in his “beloved Flagler Beach”.

Ron was born on August 3,1945 in Schenectady, NY the son of Frank Cacciolfi and Juanita (Montorio) Cacciolfi. He graduated from Linton High School in 1963 and enlisted in the USAF where he served four years and completed a tour in Vietnam during the war. Upon his return he met and married the love of his life, Lorraine Zaleski in 1969, purchased property in the Town of Wright, NY where they settled in their country home raising a family and owning several farm animals throughout the years. During that time he worked as a computer programmer for NY State for 20+ years retiring in 2000. He also enlisted in the NY Air National Guard in Scotia in 1979 furthering his military career and retiring in 1997 at the rank of Master Sergeant with 22 years of military service.

Ron and Lorraine were “snow birds" for several years until they relocated permanently to Flagler Beach, Florida in 2014 where he lived out the remainder of his years. His number one love was his family and he loved spending time with every one of them as much as possible. His second love was travelling the country with his beautiful bride taking several trips every year whether it was to a new destination or up north to visit family. He loved the great outdoors and hunted and fished for as long as his body would allow him to. Ron was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He volunteered with several different organizations throughout the years whether it was a little league coach, driving an ambulance, volunteer firefighter, becoming a volunteer member with the local police department and patrolling the area, driving for DAV transporting disabled veterans and many other numerous things just to be able to offer his time and help to anyone in need. To sum it up as the ongoing joke always went, Ron was a “good guy”-just ask him! He loved everyone and would strike up a conversation with anyone he could. He was a “live in the moment” kind of guy and was always the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor and a unique way about him that kept everyone laughing. He had a zest for life and was always looking for an adventure that extended well into his golden years. Even going with his best friend Joe (Tina) on an African Safari and jumping into great white shark infested waters at the age of 77.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Frank and Juanita. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorraine Cacciolfi; his son Ron (Ida) Cacciolfi of Bunnell, FL; his daughter Kim Cacciolfi of Delanson, NY; his daughter Terry (Mike) Albright of Delanson, NY; His 12 grandchildren; Caitlyn Cacciolfi of NY; Teresa, Matthew and Anthony Cacciolfi of FL, Tiffany (Danny) Monzant of FL; Victoria, Jacob, Jordan and Jarrett Bloodgood of NY; Stephen, Tyler and Adam Cote of NY; his sister Marilyn Bahan, a niece and nephew and several cousins, extended family and friends.

No services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held in Ron’s memory both in Florida and NY at a time to be determined by the family.
