Joanna Warren, 79, born in St.Paul MN, passed away on July 3, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and a lasting legacy of kindness, service, and devotion to others. She was the beloved wife of Charles Warren and the cherished mother of two sons, Eric Warren of Denver, Colorado, Mark Warren of Neptune Beach, Florida, and 3 Grandchildren.
The Warren family moved to Flagler County in 1980 from Ithaca New York where she had earned her Master Degree from SUNY Cortland. She shared her lifelong love of teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the original Daytona Beach Community College Campus. She served as a founding member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church and in 1983 as the founding director of its preschool. She went on to teach kindergarten at Bunnell Elementary School and helped pioneer the Pre-K early intervention program at Old Kings Elementary School. Together with her husband, Joanna also helped found Flagler County Habitat for Humanity, a reflection of her deep commitment to service and to improving the lives of others. In her pre-retirement years, she continued to educate, mentor, and encourage others as the real estate education director for Prudential Warren Real Estate.
Joanna will be remembered with deep affection for the many lives she touched—as an educator, community builder, wife, mother, and friend. A celebration of life memorial service will be held later this summer.
Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and Haven Hospice.
