Mildred E. “Ellie” Van Wicklen
1922-2020
Mildred E “Ellie” Van Wicklen died peacefully May 11, 2020 at Halifax Health Hospice. Ellie was born in Fort Lee, New Jersey Sept. 14, 1922.
She moved to Ormond Beach in 1956 with her husband and family. She and John had several businesses under the name Jon-El and were well known in Ormond Beach. She happily made a career of volunteering - starting with serving in the WAVES during WWII, and continuing at the children’s schools and community activities. Her greatest calling was participation in the ministries at her church, where she is definitely missed. She and John were founding members of Prince of Peace Church over 50 years ago.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John, her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her daughters Carole, Ellen, and Janett (Paul); grandchildren Jennifer, Michael (Katie), and John; great grandsons Luca and Gabriel; four nieces, three nephews and their families.
Delayed by the pandemic, her funeral mass will be June 16, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Prince of Peace Church, Ormond Beach.
