8:25 a.m. 200 block of London Drive. Suspicious incident.
A man called the Sheriff’s Office saying someone broke into his car and stole his handgun and wallet from the glove box.
The glove box was open when he got out to the car that morning, he said. He told the deputy he’d left the car’s back doors unlocked.
But when the man went inside the house to find information on the handgun, he instead found the gun itself, along with his missing wallet.
He told the deputy he still thought his car had been broken into because the glove box was open.
The Sheriff’s Office daily log record on the incident notes that “multiple electronics in the vehicle were left untouched.”
