See You Spoon
10:09 a.m. — First Block of Lindsay Drive. Larceny. A female stated that at about 3:45 p.m. Jan. 25, the postal service delivered a package of heirloom spoons on her front porch.
The female was not home when the package was delivered and noticed the package missing when she arrived home. The female then contacted the postal service. The postal service confirmed the package was delivered to the correct residence and advised the female to contact the Sheriff’s Office. The female also made contact with the neighbors and they advised the package was not delivered to any of their residences.
The heirloom spoons were a collection from different countries and passed on from an inheritance. The female was unable to provide a description and believed their estimated value to be $1,000.
Wheel of Misfortune
11:35 a.m. — 5000 Block of State Road 100. Larceny-Motor vehicle. A man advised that between 8 p.m. to 8 a.m on Feb. 5-6, one wheel and tire was stolen of the back of a black and beige soft top SUV by an unknown suspect.
The man provided a picture of the SUV with the tire attached to the rear of the vehicle by three nuts and bolts. It should be noted that no other vehicles were broken into and no other property was reported stolen.
There were no signs of latent prints and due to the rain from the night before, no prints were taken as the vehicle was parked outside.
Feb. 9
Just Hanging Out?
1:30 p.m. — 100 Block of Cypress Point Parkway. Larceny. A female shopper stated that an unknown woman was hanging around her cart and, she thinks, removed her wallet from her unzipped purse as she was shopping.
The loss prevention department was able to locate the incident on surveillance video. In the video, the suspect reaches toward the cart and as she exits the store and depicts her placing an unidentified object into her own purse, which is believed to be the shopper’s wallet.
After the shopper checked her financial statements, it was discovered her Visa card was used at another retail store for an unauthorized purchase of $82. The shopper was able to suspend the remainder of the credit card accounts.
