Car capers
3:57 p.m. — 200 Block of Beechwood Lane. Stolen Vehicle. A victim reported that she made a new friend about three weeks ago, and that Sunday she let this friend sleep in her 1996 Buick because that friend had recently become homeless.

The victim stated she checked on her friend every few hours, but at approximately 4 a.m., she discovered that both her friend and the vehicle were gone. The victim said the keys were left in the vehicle, and she told her friend that she could sleep in the vehicle but not take it. The victim said she wanted to report the vehicle as stolen and pursue criminal charges against her friend.

While the officer was on scene, the victim’s friend returned on scene with the vehicle. She stated that a cousin of hers had gotten stabbed in Bunnell so she left with the vehicle to check on him. The victim said she still wanted to pursue criminal charges against her friend so the woman was placed under arrest and transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility.
