Ormond Beach MainStreet will host its ninth annual "Christmas in July" shopping and dining event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 25.
The event will take place in the Historic Ormond Beach District, along Granada Boulevard from A1A to Orchard Street, and will feature appearances at local businesses by Santa and Mrs. Claus. Over 40 of Ormond's restaurants and shops will offer deals and several will also host kids' activities and crafts, according to a press release.
“We’re excited for another round of this little event that brings so much joy to our community and businesses," said Becky Parker, Executive Director of Ormond Main Street. "We always feel it is our job at Main Street to advocate for residents and visitors to shop small and support local, all year round, and this is one of our favorite ways to celebrate all the wonderful locally owned businesses here in the Historic Ormond District. We see new faces and families every year, as well as those who have participated since the beginning.”
Event attendees will also be able to participate in a scavenger hunt for the Elf on a Shelf to win a gift card to a small business. This year's scavenger hunt will be digital — participants will scan a QR code at each location, enter their contact information and will be automatically entered into the gift card drawing.
Additionally, The Casements will host a Christmas in July Holiday Hunt from 8 a.m. to noon. Guests can take a self-guided tour through the historic home and search for hidden beach balls. This free activity is available for children ages 16 and under.
Maps for Christmas in July can be picked up at any participating business. There will also be a digital map available at www.ormondbeachmainstreet.com/christmasinjuly, along with Santa’s schedule, kids’ activities, and a complete list of businesses and specials.
