The owner told Sheriff’s Office deputies that the employee had been hanging out at the bar all day, disturbing the other employees while drinking at the bar. The owner eventually cut the suspect off from more alcoholic drinks, but the suspect stayed at the bar to drink water, continuing to bother the staff, according to the arrest report.
The owner told the suspect to leave multiple times. The final time, the suspect punched the owner in the face. Other employees pulled the suspect, still swinging at the owner, outside until deputies arrived.
The suspect was arrested and trespassed from the bar.
Wrong place, wrong time.
3:50 a.m. — 6700 block of Highway U.S. 1, Bunnell
Drug possession. A gas station’s security alarm led to a Sheriff’s Office deputies arresting a homeless woman for drug possession.
When Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the gas station , they found a silver SUV parked behind the building, but no sign of forced entry. The driver, a 54-year-old Port Orange woman, told deputies she was sleeping in the SUV, but had nothing to do with the building alarm, according to an arrest report.
While talking to her, a deputy smelled burnt marijuana coming from the car. The woman said she had an expired medical marijuana card but admitted to having “ a little bit of marijuana” in the vehicle.
Deputies searched the SUV and found 8.3 grams of marijuana, 1.17 grams of meth and a glass smoking pipe. The woman was placed under arrest and taken to the county jail.
