Former Palm Coast council member Ed Danko has been named as Congressman Randy Fine's eastern regional district director for Flagler, Volusia and St. Johns Counties.

Fine represents Florida's 6th Congressional District, which includes six counties - Flagler, Volusia, St. Johns, Marion, Lake and Putnam Counties. He has appointed Danko as one of two district directors to serve as primary liaisons between Fine and the counties, a press release from the congressman's office said.

Stephen Shylkofski will be Fine's western regional district director for Marion, Lake and Putnam Counties.

The district directors, as Fine's liaisons will manage casework, coordinate district outreach events and ensure the voices of Floridians are "heard and addressed at the federal level," the press release said.

"We’re doubling down on the commitment to constituent service by appointing dedicated leaders for both the inland and coastal regions," Fine said. "Constituent service is the priority in my office, and with their leadership and hard work, I’m confident we’ll deliver real results and make government work better for our community.”

Danko served as a Palm Coast City council member from 2020-2024, and is the former public relations chairman for the Flagler County Republican Executive Committee and the former vice president of the Flagler Trump Club. He is also a Navy veteran and a former volunteer firefighter.

Shylkofski, the press release said, "brings over a decade of experience in public service, government relations, and nonprofit leadership " to the role. Stephen previously served as vice president at Find, Feed, & Restore, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families with children, and is the secretary for the Lake County Republican Executive Committee.
