Palm Coast resident and businessman Ramon Marrero has announced his candidacy for the Palm Coast City Council District 4 seat.
A U.S. Army and National Guard veteran, former substitute teacher and owner of MOTANO Productions in Palm Coast, Marrero has 40 years of experience in public service, finance and community leadership, according to a Marrero campaign press release. Marrero is one of four candidates running for the District 4 seat, alongside Darleene Shelley, John Thomas Kvederis and Dylana Justine Galery.
Marrero said he is running for the City Council seat to ensure Palm Coast continues to grow responsibly while protecting its quality of life.
“Palm Coast is a city full of opportunity, hardworking families, and proud neighborhoods,” he said . “I am running for City Council because I believe residents deserve leadership that listens, acts responsibly, and always puts the people first.”
Marrero has pledged to bring experienced leadership, accountability, and a strong voice for residents to City Hall, the press release said.
Marrero also serves as the president and founder of the Hispanic American Cultural Society in Palm Coast and is a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, the press release said. He was also a member of the most recent City of Palm Coast Charter Review Committee.
Marrero’s campaign will focus on responsible growth, public safety, infrastructure improvements, fiscal accountability, support for local businesses, and transparent government, the press release said.
“Our city needs practical leadership with real-world experience,” he said. “I have spent my life serving others, solving problems, and working hard. I am ready to bring that same commitment to the Palm Coast City Council.”
