27-year-old Palm Coast man in critical condition after his sedan crashes into a tree

The accident happened on May 10 on West View Parkway, east of Whippoorwill Drive.

A 27-year-old Palm Coast man was in critical condition after he his sedan collided with a tree on May 10.

The crash happened as the man was driving west on West View Parkway at 8:25 p.m., east of Whippoorwill Drive. a Florida Highway Patrol press release said. The sedan veered into the grass on the north shoulder and then swerved across both lanes of West View Parkway, jumped the south-side shoulder and sidewalk and through small shrubbery.

The sedan continued into the wood line where it collided with a large tree, the press release said.

According to the FHP crash notes, the man was not wearing his seat belt. He was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona in serious condition.
