Donald Stevens Young Jr., 55, sadly left our world on May 6, 2025, after a life lived in service and kindness.  Don “UB” was born on December 17, 1969, in Syracuse, NY. He was a Father Lopez (’88) and UCF (’92) graduate who served the greater Daytona Beach/Ormond Beach area as a Certified Public Accountant for over 30 years. He was a partner in the firm Raposa, Perry Young, LLC along with partners Dennis Raposa and Brandon Perry. He was also a partner in Tomoka Property Management with partner Nathan Wade.  Don was known for his contributions to many organizations, including Ormond Beach Rotary Club, Daytona Beach Quarterback Club, the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce (2024 Advocate of the Year) and as a co-founder of the Bud Asher Foundation. He was a dedicated volunteer for St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and served in the Gyro Booth at the Greek Festival from the time he was sixteen years old.

Don loved to play as hard as he worked and was an avid sports fan. He supported his favorite teams the FSU Seminoles, UCF Knights, Las Vegas Raiders, Vegas Golden Knights and New York Yankees attending as many games as possible including the 2024 MLB World Series. The Super Bowl was the only game left on his bucket list. He was a best friend to all, always ready with a smile and a laugh.

Don was preceded in death by his grandparents Lester and Dorothy Young and Mildred “Mickey” and John “Soccer” Hughes and grandson Theo Bauer.  He is survived by his daughters Kristina Bauer (granddaughter Frankie) and Heather Young (grandson Dixon); his parents Donald and Judith Young Sr.; sisters Jill Young-Smith and Kelly Davis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 998 Fr Donlan Dr., New Smyrna Beach FL 32168 on June 7, 2025, at 10:00 am.  A reception will follow in the church hall. Donations can be made to the Ormond Beach Rotary Club which is funding a UCF Scholarship in Don’s honor or to any of the other associations of which he was a part.
