Florida House Speaker Paul Renner has endorsed candidate Sam Greco to succeed Renner for the Florida House District 19 seat.
The District 19 seat represents both Flagler and St. Johns Counties. Greco announced Renner's endorsement of his campagin in a May 20 press release.
“I am proud to endorse Sam Greco in his campaign to succeed me in House District 19,” Renner said. “Sam’s time as a Naval Officer, commitment to public service, and steadfast support for our shared conservative values makes him the right choice to represent the district."
Greco served as an active-duty JAG officer in the United States Navy from 2019-2024 and has transitioned to the Navy Reserves since.
Greco is running for the Florida House of Representatives "to fight back against the liberals who want to kill that dream and turn Florida into California," the press release said. Greco is a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and pro-freedom conservative who wants to move the region forward.
Greco said he was "incredibly honored" to receive Renner's endorsement and is committed to continuing the same values.
“Speaker Renner is responsible for passing the most consequential conservative agenda in Florida’s history and every Floridian is better off because of his leadership," he said. "His dedication to public service and our conservative principles has been an inspiration to me and so many others."
