8:39 a.m. — residential neighborhood in Palm Coast

Residential burglary. A Palm Coast woman came home from a work week to find someone might have been living in her home while she was away.

The woman told the responding Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputy that she lives alone and no one should have been inside while she was away for work, according to the incident’s report. The woman told the deputy she found things inside her home that did not belong to her.

The woman said she found two shirts, a packet of new toothbrushes, a hairnet, facial wipes, beer, two-liter soda bottles and some food that she did not own, the report said. The deputy looked through the home and did not see anything tampered with beyond the items the woman pointed out.

Despite the woman’s testimony, the incident report stated there was not enough evidence to pursue at this time.
