Lousy welcome to a new home

10:27 a.m. First block of Reidel Lane. Burglary: A 34-year-old woman told deputies that someone stole jewelry from her jewelry box when she moved into a new home March 8. The woman's friends and relatives helped her move her things, including the jewelry. When she got to the new house and looked over her boxes, she saw that some boxes — which others had driven to the new house for her — were opened. She confronted the person who drove the opened boxes over, and the person said they didn't know why the boxes were open, and that other people had also handled the boxes. The next day, the 34-year-old discovered that all of the jewelry — $1,700 worth — had been removed from her jewelry box.
