Beware of dangerous raccoons
3:04 p.m. Prestwick Lane and Presidential Lane. Animal Problem.
A deputy responded to two complains of an aggressive raccoon. The first complainant stated the raccoon hissed and moved toward him in an aggressive manner. He was concerned for the safety of his children arriving on the bus and walking in the area. The second complainant explained the raccoon had been staggering around his yard, and he was afraid to go outside of his home. The deputy then observed the raccoon attempt to sit up multiple times only to fall over. The deputy was advised by his supervising officer to put the animal down for the safety of the children in the area.

June 2
We have a missing radio, good buddy
Morning. Fire station on the first block of Corporate Drive. Property Found/Lost.
One of the radios assigned to MEDIC 21 was missing during the inventory check by the fire station’s lieutenant. It is unknown when the radio went missing, but it was discovered to be missing between June 1 and June 2. The lieutenant does not think this the radio was stolen; however, all personnel searched the bay, the fire truck and personal gear with negative results.

Take me back, or the tires get it
6:27 p.m. 70 Block of Brewster Lane. Criminal Mischief.
A man stated his ex-girlfriend show up at his residence and forced herself inside. She then began arguing and demanding that he (the victim) take her back as his girlfriend. The victim told her to leave and called 911. As she exited, she retrieved what appeared to be a knife and slashed the victim’s four tires. The tires are valued at $460. She then fled from the scene. The responding deputy made contact with the woman at her residence, where she confessed to the criminal mischief.

June 3
Duplicate graffiti leads to artist
10:32 a.m. 5200 Block of SR 100. Criminal Mischief.
The week prior, graffiti had been drawn on the top of a desk at a local school. A person was identified by the identical graffiti drawn on the back of a homework assignment. When the girl was being explained what she was being charged with, she made the unsolicited spontaneous utterance, “I just forgot to erase it before I left.” The cost of the damage is less than $10.

Two pistols, credit cards stolen
2:38 a.m. 5900 Block of North Ocean Shore Boulevard. MV Larceny.
The victim left the vehicle unlocked and there was no property damage. However, a camouflage purse with two silver pistols on the front was taken. The purse contained a matching wallet that held a credit card and the victim's daughter's Social Security card, driver’s license, a food stamp card and her Florida Child Support card. Also, the keys to her residence and two dental medications were taken.
