Ormond Beach Elks award $7,000 in scholarships to Seabreeze seniors

Of the total scholarships, the Lodge awarded a total of $4,000, as well as $3,000 on behalf of the Florida State Elks Association.

The Ormond Beach Elks Lodge awarded $7,000 in scholarships to Seabreeze High School seniors during a dinner in their honor on May 15.

Of the total scholarships, the Lodge awarded a total of $4,000, as well as $3,000 on behalf of the Florida State Elks Association, according to a press release. Isabel Mazelow, daughter of Shanan Mazelow, and Britton Prewitt, son of members, Wendy and Michael Holly and grandson of members, Cheryl and David Askew, each received a $1,000 Ormond Beach Elks Lodge Legacy Scholarship.

Maggie Harris and Lucky Boren each received a $1,000 Ormond Beach Elks Lodge Scholarships. Ye’Nile McCoy received the $3,000 C. Valentine Bates Memorial HOPE Scholarship award on behalf of the Florida State Elks Association. 

Scholars and their families in attendance were treated to dinner sponsored by Heli-Hogs, and each recipient was presented with a certificate.
