Jailbound

3:23 a.m. — 300 block of Sanchez Avenue, Ormond Beach

Fugitive from justice. Police arrested a 54-year-old Daytona Beach man after he was found sleeping on the docks of a local city park.

An officer woke the man up, according to his arrest report, and informed him that the park was closed and he couldn't be on the property. The man understood and was cooperative, but when asked for his ID, the man said, "I guess I'm going to jail."

The man told police he had a civil court order directing officers to take him into custody. This was because he failed to appear before a judge in reference to a previous trespassing. He was taken to jail.
