6:56 p.m. — 100 block of Cloverdale Court, Ormond Beach
Criminal mischief. An 18-year-old Ormond Beach man was arrested after he threw a rock at a window of a family member's residence — which the young man did on purpose, to get the victim to call 911.
According to a police report, the victim arrived at his home and saw the 18-year-old sitting on a baby swing. When he was asked to get off, he refused. The victim told him to "go take a walk," but the 18-year-old refused and told him to call the police. When the victim did not do so, the young man told the victim's 11-year-old son that he would give the victim a reason to call police.
On security camera footage, the victim saw the 18-year-old pick up a large rock and throw it at a window, causing $775 in damages.
The 18-year-old was trespassed from the home and taken to jail.
4:44 p.m. — 400 block of Hammock Lane, Ormond Beach
Criminal mischief. A local builder called police after two signs on a property he is developing for a landowner were spray painted with red swastikas.
The builder told officers that the signs, which contain his company name, were not damaged the day before. The vandalism also included a circular figure with a line through it, according to an incident report. The damage was estimated at $200.
The builder, who said he is not associated with any religion, wished to pursue charges.
