Now in its 14th year, the Kistemaker Business Law Group Summer Internship program is welcoming two new interns.
Jillian Norko, a student at the University of Miami, and Isabella Lisowski, a student at Florida State University, will be taking part in the law firm's program, which is available to prospective law students looking to gain legal experience and insight into real estate, business, condo/HOA, construction, landlord and tenant law, according to a press release.
“In these 14 years of the program, we feel proud to have had the opportunity to make a strong impact on the futures of these gifted students," said Erum Kistemaker, the firm's managing attorney and shareholder. "We enjoy welcoming both new and familiar faces each year."
Norko is currently majoring in political science and communications with a minor in sports administration on the pre-law track. She seeks to pursue a career in sports and entertainment law.
Lisowski is a first-generation Polish-American from Ormond Beach. She's an incoming senior majoring in behavioral neuroscience, with a minor in chemistry, and is involved psychological research. After graduating, she seeks to gain more experience in neuroscience and biotechnology, before attending law school.
During the program, the students can participate in professional development workshops and are provided with opportunities to interact with the local legal community in addition to assisting in the day-to-day business of the firm. The interns also receive an attorney mentor.
