Ormond Beach Area Democratic Club meeting

CMTW presents 'Kilroy Was Here' and 'At the Bandstand'

Details: Children's Musical Theatre Workshop is celebrating its 43rd year. "At The Bandstand", a '50s-themed musical, will be performed first (35 minutes), then there will be a 30-minute intermission followed by the performance of "Kilroy Was Here", a salute to those who served in the military in the 1940s. Fourth Hang 8 Dog Surfing Extravaganza

When: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: South 5th Street, Flagler Beach

Details: Attend this dog and surf event featuring a dog surfing contest, dog costume contest, dog open surf sessions, dog kissing and photo booth and vendors. Proceeds benefit K9's for Warriors, Flagler Humane Society, and S.M.A.R.T. of Flagler County. Visit www.hang8dogsurfing.com.

Friends of the Library book and bake sale

When: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Where: Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway N, Palm Coast

Details: This book and bake sale will have fiction, non-fiction, hardcover, paperbacks, children's and young adult selections, as well as DVDs, CDs, audio books, puzzles and coffee table books. 

Springs Arts Festival

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast

Details: Presented in part by the City of Palm Coast, Flagler County Cultural Council and Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches, attend this free event featuring the area's art scene. There will be food trucks and local vendors.

Touch-A-Truck

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast

Details: The City of Palm Coast’s Public Works Department will host its fifth annual Touch-a-Truck event. Get up close with over 75 fleet, municipal and specialty vehicles. 

Seventy Years of Elvis and Florida: 1955 to 2025

When: 10-11 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway Northeast, Palm Coast

Details: May 2025 marks the 70th anniversary since Elvis performed his first concerts in Florida. To mark this milestone, author Bob Kealing will bring a new perspective on the crucial roles Florida played in Presley’s career as a singer and actor. Nature Journaling: Endangered species

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center, 601 Division Ave., Ormond Beach

Details: Learn about endangered species while journaling. Program is designed for ages 13 and older. Beginners are welcome, and materials will be provided if needed.

Watercolor workshop

When: 1-4 p.m.

Discover Trips

Where: Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens, 370 Zoo Parkway, Jacksonville

Details: Discover Trips, hosted by the City of Palm Coast, are back. Take a day trip to the Jacksonville Zoo and experience over 100 acres of exhibits. Costs $80 per person. Stained glass for beginners

Pool Safety Day
