Egged on

5:05 p.m. — 100 block of South Washington Street, Ormond Beach

Vandalism. A 17-year-old Daytona Beach girl almost faced misdemeanor charges after she threw eggs at another teen's house in Ormond Beach.

Police report that the teen victim called dispatch to report that the girl was trying to get into a physical altercation with her. According to an incident report, police arrived and found no one was home, and neither was there anyone outside. The reporting officer then spoke to the victim on the phone, who advised the girl and other friends planned to show up later.

While on the call, a car pulled up and accelerated past the officer, who conducted a traffic stop. The girl was driving the car, and inside were other teen girls. The officer spotted an egg carton at her feet and asked her to step out of the vehicle after the girl called her mom.

She was detained in handcuffs, at which point she admitted to egging the victim's house after finding no one home. She said the victim invited her to come over for a physical altercation, which was why she was there. The dispute?

A boy, the incident report states.

The victim initially wished to press charges, but later changed her mind.

Bottled trouble

7:57 p.m. — First block of South Yonge Street, Ormond Beach

Suspicious incident. A 36-year-old woman accepted a water bottle from a stranger at a local car wash, and the bottle later tested positive for methamphetamines.

According to an incident report, the woman called police to report that her car smelled like gasoline and was "slippery" after going through the car wash. While there, she said she had spoken to a man by the vacuums who offered her a water bottle and an electrolyte drink packet, which she consumed. Afterward, the man, who was dressed "professionally" in a polo, asked her if she was "coming down yet," according to the incident report. The woman also told police she heard the man describe her to someone on the phone, which caused her to worry and leave the car wash, calling police from a phone at a local smoke shop.

The reporting officer that the woman "appeared she was paranoid and believed people were driving by to watch her," noting it was difficult to keep her attention. Officers tested the water bottle, which presented positive for methamphetamines. The woman said she had added the electrolytes herself, but was unsure if the water bottle had already been opened before she took it.

She wished to press charges if the suspect was identified.
