Flagler County's May 2025 unemployment rate has remained unchanged since April at 4.2%.

While the rate has not changed month-to-month, it is up 0.6% since May 2024. The data is the latest from Florida Commerce and shows job trends from April to May in Flagler County "remain stagnant," according to Greg Blosé, CEO of Nexus 360, a local analytics and marketing firm.

“Not only is job growth stagnant, but so is the number of unemployed residents in Flagler County, which offers a silver lining to our gray employment cloud,” he said.

Overall, month-over-month, Flagler County's number of employed residents - working either in or out of Flagler County - increased by 27 residents, a Nexus 360 press release said, while the number of unemployed residents increased by three.

But Compared to May  2024, Flagler County has 90 fewer people employed and 323 more unemployed residents, the press release said.

"The typical Flagler County trend of job growth growing as we head into the peak tourism season has not materialized,” Blosé said.
