Flagler Veterans Day parade will honor local heroes

The parade will start at the Historic Coquina City Hall in Bunnell and end at the Flagler County Government Services Building with a Veterans Day ceremony.

The Flagler Veterans Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. 

It will start at the Historic Coquina City Hall in Bunnell and end at the Flagler County Government Services Building with a Veterans Day ceremony, according to a news release from the city of Bunnell.

Congressman Mike Waltz will be the parade's grand marshal, and all local municipalities are participating. The parade is expected to feature over 300 participants.

Sate Road 100 will temporarily close to vehicles from 9-11:30 a.m. between U.S. 1 and North Palmetto Street.

During that time, parade attendees should access side streets from U.S. 1 northbound or S.R. 100 westbound for parking and joining the  event. 

Cars on U.S. 1 should use Belle Terre Boulevard or alternative routes to access S.R. 100. S.R. 100 westbound will remain open to traffic and detoured at N. Palmetto Street to E. Magnolia Street for access to US 1.

Event schedule:

8 a.m.: Parade line-up begins at Historic Coquina City Hall, 200 S. Church St., Bunnell

9 a.m.: Parade route closed to all vehicle traffic

10 a.m.: Flagler Veterans Day Parade begins

11 a.m. (approx.): Parade ends 

11:30 a.m.*: Veterans Day Ceremony begins at the Flagler County Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell

Followed by a free BBQ picnic sponsored by Woody’s BBQ at the Government Services Building*
