Tai Chi instructors wanted

Palm Coast resident Alice Losasso, a Tai Chi instructor of 20 years, is looking for all Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) and Qigong instructors (all styles welcome) in the surrounding areas who would like to promote the practice of Taijiquan and Qigong. World Tai Chi and Qigong day is Saturday, April 27, where practitioners worldwide will perform their Tai Chi form at 10 a.m. in their time zone.

After holding a 30-minute free class last year, Losasso hopes to make this year’s event even bigger and better, with the help of other local teachers.

“I was recruited to teach some classes for my teacher while he was away studying Tai Chi in Hong Kong,” she said. “I found that I enjoyed teaching others. I then became a certified Tai Chi for Arthritis instructor through the Arthritis Foundation in (Rhode Island) and began teaching classes in local senior centers.”

As a local resident of four years, Losasso would like to meet with instructors and discuss plans to make this event a success for promoting the practice of Tai Chi and Qigong. The Palm Coast Community Center is going to reserve space for event to use, she said. If interested, contact Losasso at (401) 489-6694 or by email at [email protected]
