The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida and local businesses and partners are collecting essential items to support humanitarian relief efforts in Venezuela following the country's June 24 earthquakes.
According to a press release, residents are encouraged to donate new or gently used clothing, personal hygiene and first aid items.
"Every donation, regardless of size, provides hope and relief to families facing extraordinary challenges," said William J. Sanchez, managing director of the Cultural Awareness Fund, Inc. "The generosity of our
community demonstrates the compassion that defines Volusia County, and we are grateful to our collection center partners and everyone organizing this drive for helping make this effort possible."
