"Flying Colors," the work of J. Courtenay Hunt
Where: St. Augustine Art Association, 22 Marine St., St. Augustine
When: 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20
Info: Historian Dr. Wayne W. Wood, gives a vivid talk on the life and work of aviator/artist Julian Courtenay Hunt. Known for his extraordinary artistry and love of flying (and the ladies), Hunt produced scores of paintings during his 70-year career, including portraits of many prominent people. The lecture focuses on the collection featured in the gallery. Admission is free, with reservations required. Call 904-824-2310.
 

“25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
Where: Gillespy Theater, The News Journal Center, 221 N. Beach St., Daytona Beach
When: 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21, 22 and 28; and 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. March 1
Info: Six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grownups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. Free to all Daytona State College and Volusia/Flagler county students, all others $8 per person or $15 for two. Call 226-1927.
 

“Olde Tyme Musical Revue”
Where: Daytona Playhouse, 100 Jessamine Blvd., Daytona Beach
When: 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 and 2 p.m. Feb. 23
Info: Directed by Bob Weaver, this annual fundraiser features Broadway tunes with a little dance and comedy performed by Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and Palm Coast seniors. Cast includes Betty Ebner, Robert O. Dimsey, Bob Turnbow, Cindy Simmons, Doris Allen, Eileene Brady, Henry Orlowski, Jeff Deplanta, Jerry Sweeney, Jo Northrup Traywick, Kathy Thompson, Kathy Stasko, Lionel Marcoux , Paul Duplantis, Bob Weaver, Bruce Heighley, Jonnette DeMarsico, Peter Trubek, Dee Carpenter, Val Betts and Pauline Rodick, Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 18 and under. Red Hot Chilli Pipers

Celtic Woman
