Camera club reaches 33rd season

The Casements Camera Club opened its 33rd-annual photo show last week, at The Casements. The work will be displayed until Sept. 26.

Opened Sept. 6 and running through Sept. 26, the Casements Camera Club’s 33rd-annual photography show sent handfuls of Ormond Beachers home with awards.

The honors are listed as follows:

Casements Award: "Clouds Rising," by Bonnie Siamon

Best of Show: "Yawn," by Daniel Stone

1st place: "Season's End," by Tom Silvey

2nd place: "Bee on Rose," by Ed Lutman

3rd place: "Matanzas Ranger," by Gary Siamon

Merit Awards:

"Deterrent," by Ans van Beek

"Disturbia," by Terry Dickerson

"Seal at the Vancouver Aquarium," by Xin Gale

"Flow," by Nancy Close

"Trio," by Gary Siamon

Honorable Mention:

"Boat Dream," by Jamie Boyle

"Native American Festival Dancer," by Michele Sweeters

"Across the Pond," by Stewart Spar

"Double Arch, Arches National Park," by Ans van Beek

"Behold the View, Flat Rock, P.A.," by Sylvia Camille

The guest speaker at the club's upcoming Sept. 26 meeting, at Bailey Riverbridge Gardens, will be Patrick van Dusen, Daytona State College photography professor, who will talk about portraiture.
