Butterfly Garden Talk

Details: Join guest speaker Beth Heron in the garden gazebo to discover the world of butterflies and their transformation from tiny egg to winged adult. Halifax Area Chapter of MOAA May Awards Luncheon

Details: The Halifax Area Chapter invites all current and former military officers, veterans, spouses, and supporters of the military community to attend its May Luncheon celebrating the Presentation of the Outstanding Support to Veterans Awards and a special military retirement ceremony. Beats and Eats

Where: The Stage at Town Center,1500 Central Ave. Palm Coast

Details: Beats and Eats is a new monthly community event that combines the familiar Food Truck Tuesday experience with live concert entertainment from the Palm Coast Concert Series. The band on May 28 is Soul Fire and the beneficiary will be the Hispanic American Cultural Association.

Tire Amnesty Days

When: 3-6 p.m. Friday, May 29; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 30; and 12-6 p.m. Sunday, May 31

Where: East Flagler Mosquito Control, 210 Fin Way, Palm Coast

Details: Recycle your old tires and prevent mosquitoes. Open to all Flagler County residents with proof of residency. Limit 24 tires per resident; no rims.

Details: Join a park ranger for an informative stroll down “butterfly lane,” where you’ll learn the basics of butterfly identification, observation tips and field practices. Program included with park entry fee.

Cup of Grace Retreat

Where: Flagler County Association of Realtors Building, 4101 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell

Fourth Hispanic Food and Art Fest

Paddle into adventure!

Recipes and Reads Culinary Lab: Caraway Seeds

Moonrise at the Beach

Details: Learn about the moon and watch it rise on the beach. Bring your binoculars and camera. Meet at the beachside pavilion. Program included with park entry fee.

Wrangler on the Way

Details: Gatorland’s animal wranglers will visit the library, and they’re not coming alone. Free.

America250 Kickoff

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: This event will launch the library's summer reading season for children and families. Take part in seasonal crafts, games, educational entertainment and hands-on experiences designed to encourage reading and family participation. Free.

Palm Coast Astronomy Club meeting

Pancake breakfast and blood drive

When: 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach

Details: The Knights of Columbus Council 13018 will serve a pancake breakfast at the Social Hall and the OneBlood Big Red Bus will be onsite to accept blood donations. All donors will receive a free pass to the pancake breakfast, as well as a free gift, $20 eGift card and a complimentary wellness checkup from OneBlood.The breakfast includes all the pancakes you can eat, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee. The breakfast for non-donors costs $6 for adults, and children under 12 eat free. All are welcome.

Dance & Act with Miss Debby presents: 'Hotel International'

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1, Ormond Beach

Details: See this original show about a French heist that doubles as the annual performance for the dancers and actors of Dance and Act with Ms. Debby. Tickets cost $20 for children 4-12; 13 and up are $25. Children 3 and under are free with a paid adult ticket.

BAM Senior Fitness Class
