Hot dogs and sunflower seeds were consumed Saturday during play of Little League All-Stars.

Lots of food, actually, as players sat around in dugouts, and parents and coaches waited out a two-hour rain delay.

When the lightning finally moved on, play resumed, and it was a tough day for Palm Coast’s teams.

All four of Palm Coast’s teams lost.

In softball, the ages 9-10 team lost to Deltona, 20-1; the ages 11-12 team also lost to Deltona, 15-8.
In baseball, the ages 9-10 team lost to DeBary, 13-11; the ages 11-12 team lost to DeLand, 10-0.

Little League All-Stars will continue to play over the coming weeks.
