One person has died in a crash early Thursday morning involving two tractor-trailers on I-95 in Ormond Beach, Florida Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred at about 2:48 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 at mile marker 276. FHP reports that a 57-year-old Jacksonville man driving a tractor-trailer crashed into the back of another tractor-trailer who had stopped in the outside lane, with hazard lights on, after a previous crash with a deer.
The Jacksonville man's tractor-trailer caught fire as a result of the crash. He was pronounced dead at te scene.
The driver of the other tractor-trailer, a 59-year-old man from Cape Canaveral, sustained no injuries.
