Will Furry, the Flagler County School Board District 2 incumbent, announced Tuesday, May 5, that his candidate petitions have been certified by the Flagler County Elections Supervisor.

“This milestone is about more than just getting on the ballot,” Furry said in a press release. “It represents the trust and encouragement of neighbors, parents, and community members who believe in the work we’ve been doing and the direction we’re heading.”

Furry has one opponent in his bid for reelection. Rob Wood filed last week to run for the District 2 seat.

Furry won election to the board in 2022 and has served as the board's chair for two years. He said his campaign remains focused “on strengthening academic outcomes, supporting teachers, and ensuring responsible stewardship of taxpayer resources.”
