DeLand High School has hired Kyle Marsh to be its new baseball coach, a week after Marsh resigned after four seasons as Flagler Palm Coast's baseball coach.
DeLand announced the hire on June 10 in a press release.
Marsh's FPC teams won one district championship and a Five Star Conference title and advanced to the regional playoffs three times in four years.
“We are excited to welcome Kyle Marsh to the DeLand High School community,” DeLand athletic director Lance Jenkins said in the press release. “Kyle has demonstrated a remarkable track record of success both as a player and as a coach. He comes from a tremendous coaching pedigree with strong baseball bloodlines, and his experiences have prepared him to lead one of the premier programs in our area.”
Marsh took over the FPC baseball program after Anthony Campanella stepped down in 2022. Campanella, who is now the athletic director at Seabreeze High School, also left FPC to coach at a west Volusia school. Campanella moved to Deltona High School, where he coached for two years.
