Historical Society to host second annual Discover and Explore Ormond Beach Summer Camp

This five-day immersive camp for children ages 8–11 is designed to spark curiosity and deepen appreciation for the rich heritage of Ormond Beach.

History will come alive this summer for 32 adventurous young citizens as the Ormond Beach Historical Society hosts its 2nd annual Discover and Explore Ormond Beach Summer Camp. 

Taking place June 2-6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, the camp will be based at the historic Anderson-Price Memorial Building, located at 42 N. Beach Street in Ormond Beach.

This five-day immersive camp for children ages 8–11 is designed to spark curiosity and deepen appreciation for the rich heritage of Ormond Beach. With a blend of field trips, games, crafts, storytelling, and interactive lessons, campers will "Step Back in Time" through themed days such as:

  • Timucuan Day
  • Plantations Day
  • Founders Day
  • Birthplace of Speed and Manufacturing Day (new in 2025)
  • Walking Tour Day and the Final-Day Bus Tour

Through these experiences, campers will discover the vibrant stories, people, and places that shaped their hometown. The goal of the program is to cultivate a lasting connection between Ormond Beach’s youth and the community’s unique history.
