A Daytona Beach man was arrested on May 16 after a social media tip and national inter-agency investigation on child sexual abuse material lead detectives to Flagler County.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office's Cyber Crimes Unit was contacted on May 13 by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Daytona regarding an active, national investigation into eight videos containing child sexual abuse material, or CSAM, according to a FCSO press release. Timothy Williams IV, 26, was identified as the adult male in one of the videos.

According to Williams' arrest report, the video was recorded in 2022 when Williams lived in Flagler County. It depicts Williams masturbating while holding his then-8-month-old daughter in one arm.

The investigation began when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from the social media platform X, which included one of the uploaded videos. The investigation into the videos included multiple agencies: federal Homeland Security Investigations, the NE Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force, FBI Daytona, NCMEC and the FCSO Cyber Crimes and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Williams, who now lives in Daytona Beach, was arrested at the Palm Coast Target on State Road 100. He has been charged with lewd and lascivious exhibition-victim under 16, the press release said, and was later released on a $20,000 bond.
