Little Free Library open at Matanzas High School

Community members and students can take a book, leave a book at the tiny library installed outside of the school's front gate.

Matanzas High School held a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 14, for a Little Free Library at installed directly outside of the front gate of the school giving students and the community access.

The motto of Little Free Libraries is, "Take a book, leave a book."

"People are encouraged to take books they enjoy and leave books they're finished with for others to enjoy," Matanzas reading teacher Ashley Allen said.

There are over 200,000 Little Free Libraries worldwide. The newest one at Matanzas High is the 10th active Little Free Library in Flagler County.
