Pennsylvania man dies after crashing his motorcycle near Ormond Beach

The man, 66, from Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, was thrown from his motorcycle after he ran off the road on Sunday.

A 66-year-old man from Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, was killed on Sunday, March 3, after he ran his motorcycle off the road near Ormond Beach.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:31 p.m. and took place on the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail on Highbridge Road and Walter Boardman Lane. After he ran off the road, he overcorrected, causing him to overturn on the road's outside shoulder. The man was thrown from his motorcycle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

FHP placed a roadblock for both lanes of travel on Highbridge Road.
