Motorcycle rider injured in Ormond Beach crash on first day of Bike Week

The crash took place near Wawa at 600 W. Granada Blvd. on Friday, March 1.

A motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital as a trauma alert on Friday, March 1, after a crash involving an SUV in Ormond Beach.

The crash took place near Wawa at 600 W. Granada Blvd. It was reported at 12:15 p.m., on the first day of Bike Week 2024.

Ormond Beach Police spokeswoman Pauline Dulang said the motorist is not believed to have sustained a life threatening injury at this time. OBPD is working to clear the road to allow traffic flow to resume.
