Friends of the Ormond Beach Library to present magic program

Magician Peter Bugnet will take audiences on a journey through the history of magic.

The Friends of the Ormond Beach Library will present a program on the history of magic, featuring magician Peter Bugnet, at the Ormond Beach Library auditorium at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25.

Bugnet is a renowned magician and historian of magic with decades in the field, according to a press release. While in fifth grade, he performed his first magic show, marking the beginning of his journey into illusion. After earning a master’s degree in physics education, Bugnet taught high school science in St. Augustine until he retired in 2011.

He then dedicated himself to perfecting his magic, performing shows all over Florida. In the library program, he will take the audience on a journey through the history of magic, including famous magicians such as Houdini. He will also perform interactive magic involving the audience.

This free program is open to the community.
