Local advertising federation to host event to raise money for college scholarships

Bid4Kids will be held Thursday at 31 Supper Club.

The American Advertising Federation of Daytona Beach will hold its annual Bids4Kids Auction on the patio at 31 Supper Club, located at 31 W. Granada Blvd., in Ormond Beach on Thursday, Oct. 12. Registration opens at 6 p.m. with the live auction starting at 7 p.m.

Several local businesses have donated a variety of their services, baskets and gifts to be auctioned. All proceeds are used exclusively by AAF Daytona Beach to support its programs, education, operations, Jim Shipley & Mike Jiloty Scholarship Fund, and public service projects.

Over the years, AAF Daytona Beach has awarded thousands of dollars to students at its annual American Advertising Awards Galas and contributed to local charities.

"This event, along with annual membership and community support, helps AAF Daytona Beach continue to achieve lofty standards for our local advertising community as well as assist in providing local college students in the industry with the costs of education," a press release stated.
