Chabad of Greater Daytona Beach invited women from Daytona Beach and the surrounding areas to join the Ormond Beach synagogue for a special event, "Songs of Prayer and Protection for Israel," on Sunday, Nov. 5.
This gathering provided an opportunity for women to come together to show solidarity and support for Israel, according to a press release.
The morning began with a breakfast buffet, followed by songs, prayers, and music. Another highlight was the opportunity for attendees to make their own artistic mezuzah out of epoxy. A mezuzah is a Jewish symbol placed on doorposts to protect the home.
"What we all need right now is protection, and our soldiers are on the front lines defending our homeland," Rebbetzin Etty Farkash said. "This event is an opportunity for us to come together, pray for their safety, and create a symbol of protection for our homes."
