Friday, Sept. 16

Daytona Boat Show

When: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, and Saturday, Sept. 17; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.

Where: Ocean Center, 101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach

Details: The Marine Industry Association of Central Florida presents the Daytona Boat Show for a three-day event featuring 15 of Central Florida's top boat dealers representing over 80 manufacturers. International Cleanup Day in Ormond

When: 8-11 a.m.

Where: Tomoka State Park, 2099 North Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Join Dream Green Volusia for Ocean Conservancy’s 37th International Coastal Cleanup Day, as the organization is serving as team captain for the site at Tomoka State Park on the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail. Bring gloves, a bucket, sunscreen and wear closed-toed shoes. Event is sponsored by Volusia County.

International Cleanup Day in Flagler

2022 Safety Expo

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: European Village, 101 Palm Harbor Parkway, Palm Coast

Details: Flagler County Sheriff's Office is inviting the public to its 2022 Safety Expo. Citizens will learn about resources that aid in crime prevention, personal and family safety. There will be SWAT vehicles, marine vehicles, a DUI simulator, shoot-don't-shoot simulator and K-9s. McGruff will also be there with Smoky Bear.

Sunday, Sept. 18

Live Like Cameron's fifth-annual Flagler Warrior 5K Fun run/walk

When: 7-11 a.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast

Details: Take part in the fifth-annual 5K Fun Run/Walk to support local children battling childhood cancer. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the opening ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. All proceeds will benefit Live Like Cameron, a local nonprofit that provides financial assistance to Flagler County families with childhood cancer and provides "Bags of Hope" to children with cancer while hospitalized. September is childhood cancer month, so the nonprofit encourages all runners to wear gold. Registration costs $30. Children 5 and under are free. Visit

Low-cost pet shot clinic

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. All vaccinations are administered with a licensed veterinarian.
