OBPD hosts tribute for fallen officer Robert Grim

Robert "Bob" Grim died on Nov. 13, 2004, after he was struck by a vehicle while investigating a traffic accident on Nova Road.

The Ormond Beach Police Department held a tribute to one of its fallen officers on Saturday, Nov. 12. 

The officer, Robert "Bob" Grim, died on Nov. 13, 2004, after he was struck by a vehicle while investigating a traffic accident on Nova Road. While he had only been with OBPD for 18 months at the time, he had served in law enforcement for 36 years. He had previously worked for the Volusia Sheriff's Office, the

Daytona Beach Police Department, and served as chief of the Daytona Beach International Airport Police Department, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.

According to a Facebook post by OBPD, the memorial was attended by Grim's widow, daughter and granddaughter.
