Historical structures

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Ormond Beach Regional Library, 30 S. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Adult Services Librarian Ray Lennard will offer suggestions, useful websites and databases for tracking down historical information about structures and their former owners. Registration is not required. Programs are cosponsored by the Friends of the Ormond Beach Library. Summer Sounds

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach

Details: Bring a lawn chair or blanket and come celebrate summertime with a free night of music, presented by the city of Ormond Beach Department of Leisure Services. This week's band will be Traces of Gold, which plays music from the 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. Call 676-3241.

Saturday, July 23

Tour de Palm Coast

When: 8 a.m.

Where: Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Parkway NE, Palm Coast

Details: Grab your bike and setoff on a 10-mile ride along the northern portion of the Turtle Trail and back. The ride will be conducted at a leisurely pace. Pre-registration is required. Riders are encouraged to bring water and all riders must wear a helmet. Light refreshments will be served afterward. Sign up at parksandrec.fun and click the Special Events tab. 

Low-cost pet shot clinic

When: 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Where: A Pampered Pooch , 295 S. Yonge St., Ormond Beach

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. All vaccinations are administered with a licensed veterinarian. Panel discussion of LGBTQ+ issues

Details: The Atlantic Coast Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State will hold a panel discussion of LGBTQ+ issues and the separaton of church and state. The panel will feature Rev. Bob Goolsby, of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Palm Coast, and Helen Sylvester and Desiree Sylvester, both of DeLand Pride. Free event. She will bring a bird with her and talk with us about the raptors (eagles, hawks, owls, etc.) that inhabit our area. Open to the public. Reservations are required. Details: The African American Museum and Cultural Center of Florida, in partnership with the Florida Humanities, presents, "Water|Ways," a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian's Museum on Main Street program. Water|Ways explores the endless motion of the water cycle, water's effect on landscape, settlement and migration, and its impact on culture and spirituality.
